Pottery

Each of these pieces of pottery is an orignal. They have been hand painted by Celeste Susany, then glazed and fired. Each piece is crafted from molded clay. Unlike thrown pottery, which is a work of art as it leaves the potters wheel, molded pottery is different. It is fired the first time, as its shape, from the molded clay to become earthenware. It is now like a blank canvas to the artist. It becomes a work of art from this point on. In the process it will be fired one or two more times in the kilm, depending on painting and glazing technique. Much in the same manner as Tiffany pottery. They make a wonderful addition to any art collection, as well as a very fine gift.
